Private Investigator, Brenda Strange, receives a letter from her old friend Dana McCleary asking for Brenda to visit her and her girlfriend Cheryl on a matter of great importance, paranormal activity within their home.
Brenda puts everything on hold and flies out from her home in Tampa to Maine.
What begins as a pleasant visit between the three women, quickly becomes mayhem.
Will Brenda be able to help Dana and Cheryl, or is it already too late?
A nicely written horror story from the Queen of lesfic horror, Patty. This story is told in the true style of the the old horror stories from long ago. You know, the ones where things go bump in the night and you feel the hairs rising on the back of your neck and the butterflies dance in your stomach? The added bonus here is the story is told by Brenda Strange herself. If you’ve read the Brenda Strange books, you will be delighted by this short story. For those of you who haven’t ventured into the dark world of Brenda Strange, this is just a taster of the delights you have yet to come.
There is a beautiful added bonus of an essay written by Patty in 2003 explaining why she set the Brenda Strange stories in Tampa, Florida.
